Having had too many cars to mention, many of them German, this car excels in performance, handling, electronics, and prestige. Lacks in interior quality and a little over priced? But would I buy it again? Definitely yes, depending on what your needs are.…

Bought this car used at 45000 miles. Everything was great for about 34000 miles then out of no where low oil pressure + drivetrain malfunction. Took to dealer and they say it has no compression, time guild broke, etc....quoted me 8k-17k to replace the engine. Of course its out of even and extended warranty and because I didnt have it serviced at the dealer the are unwilling to do anything to help for a know manufacturer defect.
Car was extremely well maintained with routine oil changes and never showed any signs of problems. One day it was driving perfectly next day it was a paper weight.
This make has several class action lawsuits pending for timing chain, oil pump, and guide rail problems. Do NOT buy one of these or if you are considering it check to see if the motor has been replace. If you dont you are buying a ticking time bomb. The resell value on these continue to plummet due to these know issues that BMW is unwilling to address even though they have extended warranty and redesigned engine to fix the problem on 2016+ models.…
